On the afternoon of October 11 local time in Georgetown, Guyana, at the Z7 transmission line construction site between Good Hope and Colombia, the final hammer strike marked the successful installation of the first pile foundation for the Guyana GPL053 Power Transmission and Transformation EPC Turnkey Project, undertaken by Jiangxi Electric Power Construction Corporation Ltd. (JEPCC). This milestone signifies the official commencement of the project’s main construction phase.

The smooth placement of this first pile is a testament to the collaborative efforts and professional execution of the project team, laying a solid foundation for subsequent work.

It is reported that the Guyana GPL053 Power Transmission and Transformation EPC Turnkey Project, as a key energy infrastructure initiative in the region, will significantly advance the Guyana’s modernization of its power grid system. It aims to meet growing electricity demands and provide a stable energy supply to support rapid regional economic development. Guyana’s National Communications Network (NCN) promptly covered this milestone event on local media platforms, stating that “this marks a critical step in the physical launch of GPL’s infrastructure development project.”
