This project is the fourth phase of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park solar power project developed by the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, and is one of the world's largest strategic renewable energy projects developed under the IPP (Independent Power Producer) model. It is also one of the world's largest strategic renewable energy projects, with a 35-year power purchase agreement (PPA).

Record-breaking:

· World's largest solar thermal IPP project investment: $4.4 billion;

· World's largest solar PV project with an installed capacity of 950MW (700MW solar + 250MW PV);

· World's largest photovoltaic project area: 44 km2 (equivalent to 6162 standard football pitches)

· World's largest solar thermal project: 550,000 tonnes of molten salt (equivalent to half of China's annual production capacity)

· World's tallest tower solar thermal project: 260m

· World's largest commercially operated trough opening technology: 8.2m opening

· Most competitive levelised electricity price: 7.3 cents/kwh

The project suffered from outbreak of epidemics since the beginning of 2020. Faced with the closure policy and flight suspension in China and abroad, our staff went to the project site in Dubai despite the risk of epidemics, penetrated into the desert hinterland and organised preparatory work for the start of construction in the environment of high temperature and sandstorms.

JEPCC is mainly responsible for the installation and commissioning work of lot D2 and lot F. Currently, PT1 is 94% complete, PT2 is 77% complete, PT3 is 10% complete, PV1 is 90% complete, PV2 is 30% complete and PV3 yet to commence. The commissioning work has been completed by 15%.
